Hotel La Casa del Tio Americano
"Great hotel - highly tecommended"
We stayed for one night and wish we had stayed longer . We were advised that you had to walk a short distance from the parking to the hotel but the staff came and helped us with our luggage which was great. The room was very clean and comfortable with an amazing view and even a terrace . We were give sparkling wine on arrival and the staff were so friendly - they recommended a local tapas bar which was amazing. Breakfast was also really good - highly recommended Albarracin is a beautiful place to visit10 Sep, 0094 Judith V en Tripadvisor
"beautiful views, but you get what you pay for"
My wife did NOT like the room, which is basically the kind of room you expect for 100 euros. Room was old but clean, there was no A/C, and no screens in the windows, so some insects flew in with open windows. All this did not bother me, as the view from room #2 was gorgeous from the balcony. Breakfast was decent, and staff was friendly. Without my rusty high school Spanish, I might have been totally lost here and in Albarracin, as very little English is spoken at this hotel and in the town. One could argue for 4 stars (instead of 3) given the low price. I don't think there are any fancy hotels in Albarracin.10 Sep, 0094 Dave O en Tripadvisor
"lovely small boutique hotel run by Angeles and her brother"
more than a hotel, I'd say it's a guesthouse or B&B. Angeles is a very friendly person, going out of her way to please you. Our room was a bit small, yet cosy and nicely furnished. We were able to sit where we wanted, both in their common room as well as in the garden. Great view towards the historic town and the canyon. Excellent breakfast.10 Sep, 0094 pietro b en Tripadvisor
"Warm welcome and delightful stay"
This place couldn’t have ticked more boxes. Stunning setting, great hosts and fabulous location for exploring this amazing place. Eating our breakfast in the hidden garden while the rising sun hit the cathedral was a pure joy. We will be returning to this place. A charming hotel in a picturesque town. Would recommend to anyone.10 Sep, 0094 KPTaylor-Moon en Tripadvisor
"I have mixed feelings on how should I rate it..."
Nice location and outstanding city and mountain views but needs better management and attention to details. It is a medieval town so no parking or access with cars inside the town, which makes total sense. But the hotel owners should send instructions on how to get there. Basically you park 4 blocks away in a public parking, go down a flight of stairs and then walk to the hotel. It would have been nice to receive instructions in advance. Beware that they do not have a receptionist 24/7 so make sure to be in touch with the hotel at all times so there is someone there to check you in. Spanish is my mother tongue so no misinterpretations but it was not the easiest of experiences and travel extensively. We were offered to choose the room since they had low occupancy. One was inside the main house was really nice but it smelled cigarette. Then we were shown the garden room and we did not want the one smelling cigarette of course but unfortunately the chosen one ended up smelling even worst. Room was nice but very strong sewer smell was coming out from the bathroom that is why the industrial fresher was in place and the exhaust fan was missing so the mitigation was impossible. Since we arrived very late at night and Isabel already left for the night we could not switch rooms nor check in into another hotel. Breakfast was good and quality food but being in Spain and food not that expensive one would expect a little more. We were late well passed the closing time and the siblings who tend to guests were specially waiting for us, it was a very nice and unexpected gesture. There was an incident which I will not comment on, just say that it can happen and do not blame the owners whatsoever. When I brought it to their attention they were surprised apologized and offered to reimburse part of our stay. Overall location is great, rooms are nicely appointed but owners need to put a little more attention to room maintenance and details. See pictures’ captions to get a better idea of what I mean. A propósito la botella de cava de 187 ml es para una copa cuando hay dos personas deberían ser dos botellitas ;-)…10 Sep, 0094 Tommy M en Tripadvisor
